“The senior cycle art students at Regina Mundi College had the fantastic opportunity to work with Declan O’ Meara on an oil pastel portrait workshop for the day.
It was amazing. He is a natural teacher and a hugely talented artist. The girls produced beautiful work that they and I were very proud of. They will definitely use this new skill in their artwork moving forward. Thank you Declan from all at Regina Mundi College.”
“Declan came to Midleton College during our Art Week festivities and his workshop was a fantastic addition to the timetable of events. He worked with our Form 5 Art class and gave them an introduction not only to portraiture but also to using oil pastels which students can find quite tricky to use. His informative demonstration at the beginning of the workshop left students informed and excited to start their own work.
Students were guided through the process of creating a full portrait using oil pastels step by step under Declan’s guidance. He delivered the information using useful tips and tools to which the students could relate.
At the end of the six hour workshop, each student had created an unique portrait of which they are very proud. The standard of the workshop and Declan’s professionalism led to a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience for all who took part.”

"As a secondary school Art teacher I would highly recommend Declan O' Meara for his oil pastel art workshops. Declan attended our school last year as part of our schools Art Week. We divided the day into three 2 hour workshops and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Declan had a great rapport with the students and was able to command their attention throughout and they gained a new appreciation and love of oil pastels which they were then able to apply to subsequent art projects"
